Radon Progeny Measured Using Various Calculation Methods

In this method, an air sample is drawn through a filter for 5 minutes. The filter is then placed in a portable alpha counter.  The counter is usually started at 7 minutes after sample start time and the counts at various times are recorded without stopping or resetting to counter.
